+1 Katana Evolution Evolution Tier List

Outfit changes ranked by when the purple bar actually pays, not by how armored you look.

Evolution Tier List

Evolutions in +1 Katana Evolution are the ninja outfit changes that play out as the purple bar on the HUD fills. Early on you wear a simple gi. Later the model picks up armor and a red aura. Those looks are easy to screenshot and easy to overvalue. This list ranks evolutions by multiplier timing: does completing the bar right now multiply the katana you already own, or are you stalling a rebirth to finish a costume?

Read how to evolve for the bar itself. Use this page only to decide whether the next fill is S or a vanity detour. Pair it with the katana tier list because an evolved gi on bamboo is still bamboo, and with the rebirth build because rebirth keeps katanas while the outfit question is about when you cash the bar.

What the purple bar is ranking

The HUD is the source, not a fan skill tree. As the purple bar completes, the avatar swaps. That swap is the evolution. We do not invent named forms, patch IDs, or hidden set bonuses that the game has not shown. If a fill clearly multiplies damage or Wins at the moment you can already hold a stage, it ranks high. If a fill only changes cloth while you are still short of Stage 2’s ~300 recommended damage, it ranks low.

Timing beats cosmetics:

  • Completing the bar just before a stage gate you can almost clear is the high-value window.
  • Completing the bar after you already overkill the pad is a leftover, not a trophy.
  • Sitting in an arena to finish a red-aura look while the Rebirth button is ready is a miss. One rebirth is about x2. Three rebirths land near x5. An outfit does not replace that stack.

S tier — bar complete at a gate you can hold

S is a filled purple bar that lands when your current blade already matches the printed recommended damage, or sits one upgrade off it.

Typical S windows:

  • You hold wooden, Stage 2’s ~300 is farmable, and the bar popping lets you stay on the win pad instead of walking back to the lobby.
  • You hold a fire-inscribed blade, Stage 3’s ~5,000 is the wall, and the fill is what pushes the HUD over that number.
  • You are on Stage 5’s 30,444 and the late armored or red-aura look arrives in the same session as a rebirth you were going to take anyway.

S is not the red aura by itself. S is the aura (or the earlier gi swap) arriving on time. If you have to ignore win pads for ten minutes to finish a look, that session was C even if the screenshot is S.

A tier — early gi fills that keep the loop moving

The early gi is A when it is the first completed bar on a new account. It does not look like a boss. It does not need to. It marks that you understood the click loop, the controls, and the fact that the purple meter is a real spend, not a loading bar. Take the gi, then go back to Wins and the next blade.

A also covers mid fills you take because the bar was going to complete during a stage you can already farm. Do not leave a ready fill sitting while you shop pets. Pets are RNG; the bar is progress you already paid for. Hatch after you cash it. See the pets tier list if a Secret silhouette is distracting you.

B tier — armored looks with no multiplier window

B is the later armored model when it arrives after you already clear the current gate, or before you can swing the blade that would make the armor matter. You still take it — walking past a completed bar is waste — but you do not rebuild the run around it. The early game build would rather you buy wooden at 1 Win than pose in unfinished armor.

B is also the right rank when you complete an evolution and the HUD damage barely moves. That is a costume tick. Log it, then spend on the thing that does move the number: a katana that matches the gate, a rebirth, or a pet that is actually stronger than the one you have.

C tier — delaying rebirth or Wins for a screenshot

C is any evolution plan that treats the red aura as a raid boss.

  • Waiting to rebirth until the outfit looks done. Rebirth keeps katanas. It does not keep a half-full vanity goal in a useful way if the x2 is sitting on the button.
  • Skipping how to get Wins so you can stand in a low stage and watch the bar crawl.
  • Buying a cosmetic starter pack because it resembles a later evolution. Passes that double damage or Wins can be real. Packs that only reskin the gi are not an evolution rank, they are a shop trap. The builds hub spells out that split.

How to rank your next fill

  1. Look at the recommended damage on the current stage, not at the outfit preview.
  2. If the bar will complete while you can already farm that stage, take it. That is S or A.
  3. If the Rebirth button is ready and the bar is half full, read rebirth and the rebirth planner. The multiplier is the rank. The aura is the souvenir.
  4. If you are still on bamboo, ignore late-game armor talk. Fill the early gi, buy wooden, then come back.
  5. After a fill, re-check katanas. An evolved player with the wrong blade still fails Stage 3’s 5,000 and Stage 5’s 30,444.

Evolutions will keep changing as the game updates. As of September 2026 there are no public numbered patch notes that list each outfit. We reconstruct this list from the HUD bar, group posts, and what the avatar actually does when the meter completes. If a new fill shows a new multiplier, it earns a new row. If it only adds more armor, it stays a look, not an S pick. Do not freeze a ready rebirth to wait for a red glow that the bar has not funded yet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do evolutions have official names?

Not in a public roster we can cite. This list describes early gi looks versus later armored and red-aura outfits, and ranks the purple-bar timing. See how to evolve for the meter itself.

Should I finish the red aura before I rebirth?

Usually no. Rebirth keeps katanas and one rebirth is about x2 damage. Delaying that button for a costume is a C plan. Use the rebirth build when the button is ready.

Does a later outfit make a weak katana good?

No. Evolutions do not replace blades. Rank the fill, then rank the weapon on the katana list. Bamboo in armor still fails Stage 2's ~300 recommended damage.

When is the early gi actually worth ranking?

On a new account, the first completed bar is A because it proves the loop works. After that, only fills that line up with a stage you can hold stay high. The early game build should still buy wooden at 1 Win first.

Are cosmetic game passes evolutions?

No. A pass that doubles damage or Wins can support a fill. A starter pack that only reskins the gi is not an evolution tier. Compare passes on the builds hub.
