+1 Katana Evolution Early Game Build
Bamboo, one Win, wooden katana, Stage 2 at about 300 damage — then stop before a panic rebirth.
The early game build is the first-hour loadout for +1 Katana Evolution: bamboo starter, 1 Win, wooden katana, Stage 2’s ~300 recommended damage, and a hard rule that you do not smash Rebirth the first time the button appears. It is individual progress on a 12-player server. Ignore the red-aura player standing next to the pad. Copy this order instead.
If you have not learned the click loop, read getting started and controls first, then come back here to spend. This page is the loadout, not the tutorial.
Hour-one order
- Join Gatto vs Denis. Codes will not credit if you skip the group. The how to redeem steps cover the X icon in the top-right HUD.
- Redeem RELEASE and COOKED. RELEASE is 10K Wins. COOKED is 50K Damage plus 1 Level. That is the entire early economy in two strings. Paste them exactly.
- Swing bamboo until you can step on a Get +1 Win pad. How to get Wins is the pad page. You need one Win for wooden. Do not wander into Stage 3 on bamboo because someone else is there.
- Buy the wooden katana. Thumbnail Level 1. This is the first real weapon. Bamboo’s job is over. Details and later blades live on the katana tier list.
- Clear Stage 2 at about 300 recommended damage. If the pad rejects you, you are not ready for fire-inscribed lore. Swing, upgrade clicks if the HUD offers them, and stay on Stage 2 until it is boring.
- Hatch only if an egg is already in front of you. Pets are RNG. A ninja-head Common is fine. A worse hatch than your current pet is not an upgrade. Read the pets list before you dump Wins into eggs.
- Do not rebirth yet. Look at the button. Learn where it is. Then leave it. The rebirth build exists because the first press is where people throw the hour away.
That is the build. Katana: wooden. Pet: whatever is not a downgrade. Rebirth: not yet. Pass: none required.
What to skip on purpose
- Cosmetic starter packs. If a pass only reskins bamboo or the early gi, it is not this build. An x2 damage or x2 Wins pass can wait until you have felt Stage 2 without it, so you know what the multiplier is buying.
- Purple lightning shopping. Thumbnail Level 999 is a late blade. Stage 5’s 30,444 recommended damage is not your problem in hour one. Buying it with code Wins while you still fail ~300 is a C katana spend.
- Secret hunting. 0.20 percent is not a first-hour plan. If a pink horned pet drops, equip it if it is stronger. If it does not, you still have wooden.
- Outfit stalling. The early gi fill is worth taking when the purple bar completes. Waiting around to look armored is not. How to evolve and the evolution ranks explain the difference.
- Scripts. Auto-farm is a later convenience. If you cannot clear Stage 2 by hand, a script will only fail faster.
Loadout snapshot at the end of the hour
You should be holding wooden, standing on a Stage 2 pad that you can actually win, with codes already claimed, and with the Rebirth button still untouched unless the rebirth planner says the x2 comes back instantly. One rebirth is about x2, but only after you can reclaim the stage. If reclaiming Stage 2 would take the rest of the session, you pressed too early.
Wins after the first wooden purchase go into staying on the pad, not into a fashion blade. Fire-inscribed becomes a conversation when Stage 3’s ~5,000 is the printed number, which is the end of this build and the start of a mid-run loadout. Until that number appears, extra Wins are for click upgrades and for not being bored on Stage 1.
Servers cap at 12 players. Use that as a reminder that someone else’s Stage 5 clear is not a quest you failed. Your badge path, including A TRUE SHINOBI, is individual. The early game build’s only badge-adjacent job is to stop you from rebirth-wiping momentum you have not earned.
First rebirth hold — the last early-game rule
When the button lights up, ask three things:
- Can I get back to this pad quickly after the multiplier?
- Do I still have wooden (you will — rebirth keeps katanas)?
- Am I pressing it because the HUD said so, or because a YouTube thumbnail said so?
If the answer to the first is no, stay in this build. Farm Wins. Finish a ready evolution bar. Compare a pet. Then open the rebirth build when reclaiming Stage 2 feels cheap. The early game is over the moment wooden plus ~300 damage is automatic, not the moment you spawn.
Codes stay active as of September 2026, but they are still a join-the-group gate. If RELEASE or COOKED fails, you skipped step one. Fix that before you buy a pass to solve a problem the code already solves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What katana should I use in the early game?
Bamboo until you have 1 Win, then wooden. That is the whole first-hour weapon plan. Later fire-inscribed and purple lightning blades are for later gates. See the katana tier list.
Should I redeem codes before I buy a blade?
Yes. Join the group, then redeem RELEASE for 10K Wins and COOKED for 50K Damage plus 1 Level. The redeem guide covers the X icon.
When is Stage 2 actually done?
When about 300 recommended damage is farmable on the pad and you are no longer bouncing off it. Stay there until it is boring. Stages and how to get Wins map the pads.
Do I buy a starter pack on a new account?
Not for cosmetics. A pack that only reskins bamboo or the gi is not this build. An x2 damage or Wins pass can wait until Stage 2 is clear without it.
When do I rebirth in the early game?
You usually do not. Hold the button until you can reclaim Stage 2 quickly. Then switch to the rebirth build. Rebirth keeps katanas, but it does not keep a session you just threw away.
Should I hatch pets before wooden?
Only if a free egg is already waiting. Otherwise buy wooden first. Pets are RNG and some hatches are worse than your current companion. Rank rolls on the pets list.
